Maman's silhouette is emphasized against a luminously graded sky, exposing the spider's eerie nature, while the escaping light makes a great metaphor for the faith of its vicitm! 

Shot at sunset to take advantage of the sky's hues and complete the envisioned theme, the silhouette was shot with a wide angle lens to establish a victim's perspective.
